Retro torture

Masochistic fun for achievement whores, wrapped up in 8-bit form.

Interesting

Nice little mini-game theme to the whole game here. Some of the games could use a little tweaking, like the Tricky Madness level where when you jump on a moving platform... you don't move with it.

Overall a solid game.

P.S. I like how I'm listed as various sources for the Angrie Gear I MADE.

Solid game...

This was not a bad stab at the tried and true platform of sudoku. The problems created though, by it's design are really it's only fall back. The color grid is hard to read because they darken after being filled and the fancy font used was not easy to read either. The two major points to focus on when making a NUMBER BASED GAME, is legibility and simplicity in design. Both marks were missed in this game.

SO I beat the game... No big finale

This game needs options, and prizes, etc, etc; it just feels like it's unfinished.

Great game

Smooth animation blended with a great concept for this side scroller. The music was nice too, very fitting for the game itself.

Nice puzzle set! (FAQ below review)

Graphics: Even though this was a well written game, the game has somewhat dull graphics.
Style: Same as with the graphics, which are closely related in an flash game, it had a lackluster appeal.
Sound: I'm sorry, I just hated the menu music, thank god you could turn it off. I wasn't keen on having to use the speakers on my laptop for some of the puzzles, especially the one where the phone rings and announces the code a little too fast.
Violence: None.
Interactivity: Very interactive, the fact there are no instructions, greatly encourages people to play with the entire screen to find what does what and how. Great idea implemented here, I believe.
Humor: None.
Overall: Well rounded game for size and playability. sure to keep anyone happily frustrated as they go through the different puzzles.

Superb!

First off, I just wanted to say that this is an amazing game! So much fun, infact, I just had to crack the Advanced Menu! Which I did:

newgrounds .com /bbs/topic.php?id=317208

Graphics: Beautifully done with original sprites from the StarCraft series, and original menu concepts, and presentation throughout the game.

Style: I'm actually not a fan at all of RPG like games like StarCraft, but I found this to be an extremely fun game to play. I just might go and buy a copy now because it changed my mind of the series.

Sound: Original music from the game, I suppose, maybe some new sounds or not, I couldn't tell, but this was pulled off perfectly, no breaks, smooth looping, and clear as well.

Violence: Well, you blow up aliens, thats the whole point of the game. Tons of blood, and bones fly! Not extremely gory but definitely not for kids.

Interactivity: Well, this seems, to be a penultimate use of ActionScript. Fluid, original menus, tons of sub menus, secret cheat menus, and almost full customization of the game!

Humor: HAHA, I don't want to spoil it for everyone else, but the last boss made me crack up! I definitely didn't see him coming. Well....maybe with that huge flashing text going OMG!!...........Infested....P...Com...g

Overall: Grade A from start to finish, this definitely deserves front page for all the hard work put into it.

Graphics: Dan, wow, you really have out done yourself here. The games is so crisps and clear, the characters look like this could be on a console instead of my computer screen, it's that fucking good. No doubt though, this will be a a console game soon though, it's too good to be a NG exclusive. The animation is fluid, and smooth, even on high quality. I know it takes a fast computer though to pull off what this flash deals out.

Style: Throw in a pinch of Final Fight, a dash of Double Dragon, a table spoon of Flash, and three geniuses whole, together, and you get the style of this game. Anyone who grew up in the 8-bit age knows what I mean, this is a classic for the ages, something that has tons of replay value.
Even the adverts ( :P ) looked great and fit in! Everything about this game, down to the opening skit, with the kids running was stunning.

Sound: The sound I loved, very moody and dark, especially the bully, and boss fights. really fir the mood of the game, and didn't feel out of place at all. Very professional, I was really impressed. Though why wouldn't I be? The death music, even though simplistic, I really liked, kinda had a Jason/Friday 13th feel too it. Which is perfect for these two unstoppable serial killers.

Violence: What can I really say here? This game is about two serial killers, a father and son team. For me, this duo goes down in the books of great video game pairings, like Super mario Brothers, Double dragon, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic and Tails, etc etc etc. The blood splattering is perfect, the combos are wild, and the game play is intense.

Interactivity: Tom, my man, you made a already lifetime fan, extremely impressed! The menus, and movement, combos, and environment are beautiful and lovingly created. Really, I kid not when I say this game makes Alien Homind (flash version) look like a pet project.

Humor: What's better than beating up kids and throwing them into propane tanks, or moving vehicles while pulling off multiple combos? Ok, ok, I'm a sick twisted bastard, but still. I laughed all through the first play. And the second time through, ad the third, and fourth.....

Overall: One of the best video games I have ever seen, and played, period. This is a true gem, and a perfect example of what you and dan can do.

Now excuse me, I have to go play it again. <3

Good job

I liked this submission, though it being fairly simple.

I never have played DKC but I have seen enough of the game to know this was a great effort to reproduce one of the fun parts of the game.

The overall outlook of the game is nice, but maybe a little too hard.

I had trouble getting past the first big hill, because of the hole at the bottom. Another thing to look at, for a possible update, is the scoring system, it just froze on what I had when I first started, and only added to my score each time i replayed the game. Not very accurate.

lol

Very reminiscent of the Garbage Pail Kids.

Pretty cool though, and well done, can't wait to see more.

That's the best compliment I've had on these. GPKs were awesome cards. Thanks!
